H2oPro Pool Cleaning:Maintenance Procedure

Congratulations on Your New Pool Finish!

Welcome to H2oPro Pool Cleaning, where we take pride in delivering top-quality pool services. To ensure the beauty and longevity of your finish, we recommend following these start-up and ongoing maintenance procedures.

Start-Up Process

Proper start-up is crucial for a beautiful and long-lasting pool finish. This process involves frequent water testing, brushing, and chemical balancing. During the first 28 days, the pool finish develops its durability characteristics, so it’s essential to adhere to these instructions to prevent damage.

1. Prior to Fill:

- Test the source water before filling the pool and share the results with the responsible parties for necessary adjustments.

- For PebbleFina and PebbleBreeze finishes, ensure surfaces remain dry before filling. In case of rain, rinse the surface before filling to avoid waterline marks.

2. The Fill:

- Fill the pool with clean, potable water to the midway point on the tile line or skimmer.

- Do not use soft water or interrupt the fill process.

3. Starting the Equipment:

- Once filled, circulate the water continuously for at least five days or until all white material (cement dust) is removed.

4. Adjusting Water Chemistry:

- Adjust water chemistry according to the following ranges for the first 28 days:

- pH: 7.0 – 7.4

- Total Alkalinity: 80 – 100 PPM

- Calcium Hardness: 150 – 250 PPM

- Total Dissolved Solids: 400 – 600 PPM

- Free Chlorine: 1 – 3 PPM

- Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer/Conditioner): 20 – 30 PPM

- Langelier Saturation Index: Between -0.3 and 0.3

- Do not add chlorine directly to the skimmer.

Ongoing Maintenance:

After the first 28 days, balance the pool water according to APSP Ranges using the Langelier Saturation Index (LSI). Regular maintenance includes:

- pH: 7.2 – 7.6

- Carbonate Alkalinity: 80 – 100 PPM

- Calcium Hardness: 200 – 300 PPM

- Total Dissolved Solids: 400 – 800 PPM

- Free Chlorine: 1 – 3 PPM

- Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer/Conditioner): 20 – 30 PPM

- Langelier Saturation Index: Between -0.3 and 0.3

Important Notes:

- Maintain water chemistry close to '0.0' LSI to prevent calcium salt precipitation and staining.

- Avoid using automated cleaners with wheels for the first 28 days.

- Do not use heaters for the first 14 days.

- Allow 28 days before evaluating the final look and color of your finish.

Basic Start-Up Checklist

1. Visit 1:
